Talis Group is partnering with a highly respected, mid-sized Litigation Defense firm in Louisville known for its strong trial record and reputation for excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Associate Attorney to join a collaborative team and work on complex, high-impact cases.

This role offers exposure to a diverse defense practice, including Insurance Defense, Products Liability, Premises Liability, and Construction Litigation, along with the chance to build meaningful courtroom experience and client relationships.

Highlighted Duties:

Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Develop and execute effective defense strategies.
Counsel clients on legal rights, risks, and case developments.
Conduct legal research and stay current on applicable laws and rulings.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
Handle discovery, including depositions and witness interviews.
Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements.
Represent clients in court appearances and proceedings.
Maintain consistent client communication and provide status updates.

Highlighted Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school.
2+ years of litigation experience (defense preferred).
Trial experience is a plus.
Active Kentucky license in good standing (required).
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven negotiation and advocacy skills.
