Talis Group is partnering with a highly respected, mid-sized Litigation Defense firm in Louisville known for its strong trial record and reputation for excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Associate Attorney to join a collaborative team and work on complex, high-impact cases.
This role offers exposure to a diverse defense practice, including Insurance Defense, Products Liability, Premises Liability, and Construction Litigation, along with the chance to build meaningful courtroom experience and client relationships.

Highlighted Duties:
- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Develop and execute effective defense strategies.
- Counsel clients on legal rights, risks, and case developments.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on applicable laws and rulings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
- Handle discovery, including depositions and witness interviews.
- Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements.
- Represent clients in court appearances and proceedings.
- Maintain consistent client communication and provide status updates.
Highlighted Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 2+ years of litigation experience (defense preferred).
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Active Kentucky license in good standing (required).
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven negotiation and advocacy skills.
