Talis Group’s client is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services to low-income individuals throughout the Louisville, KY area. They are seeking a Temporary Receptionist to provide front desk and administrative support while the organization conducts a search for a permanent employee.
Strong performance in this role may lead to a direct hire, permanent placement.
The hourly pay is $20/hour. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:45am-4:45pm (onsite – no remote option), with a one-hour lunch break.
Highlighted Duties:
- Answer and direct calls on a multi-line phone system.
- Greet visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Screen walk-in clients and direct them to the appropriate staff member or department.
- Prepare correspondence and other documents using Microsoft Word.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
- Perform scanning, copying, filing and other clerical duties.
- Order and maintain office and reception supplies.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and calendar coordination.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and conference room.
- Monitor office equipment, including copiers, postage meter, and phones, and that all equipment is working properly.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Highlighted Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general office technology is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy office environment.
- Strong customer service skills and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgement when interacting with clients and visitors.
