Talis Group's client designs and builds custom automation equipment and turnkey production solutions that help manufacturers improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase productivity through advanced robotics and automation technologies.
They are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Systems Specialist to help select, implement, and support a manufacturing management system that fits their custom manufacturing operation and works effectively with the existing QuickBooks environment.
This role will help evaluate potential systems, coordinate testing and implementation, and ensure the selected system supports inventory, purchasing, production tracking, and job management. Once implemented, the Specialist will help maintain the system, support users, improve processes, and ensure accurate information flows across the organization.
Salary: $80 – 90,000 + solid benefits package.
Highlighted Duties:
- Research and evaluate MRP/ERP systems for a small, custom manufacturing operation.
- Coordinate software demonstrations, testing, selection, and implementation.
- Help organize and maintain inventory, BOM, purchasing, and production data.
- Support purchasing, material planning, inventory tracking, and job-specific material requirements.
- Help ensure effective integration between the manufacturing system and QuickBooks.
- Configure and maintain the system and assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Train employees and develop practical procedures for consistent system use.
- Work closely with engineering, purchasing, production, accounting, and management to ensure the system supports business needs.
Highlighted Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, purchasing, inventory, production planning, ERP/MRP systems, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or other business management software.
- Strong computer and Excel skills, with the ability to work with and organize operational data.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software, understand business processes, and work independently.
- Experience with manufacturing systems implementation, BOMs, inventory, purchasing, or production planning is a plus.
- Experience with custom, ETO/MTO manufacturing or QuickBooks integration is helpful but not required.
- Experience training employees or improving business processes is a plus.
