They are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to maintain safe, compliant, cost effective, and uninterrupted flow of material shipments. If this is you, APPLY TODAY!
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 (based on experience and skills) + a strong benefits package and employee-oriented environment.
HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound transportation scheduling with all carriers and internal operations teams.
- Investigate and resolve transportation delays, shipment discrepancies, and logistics disruptions.
- Track transportation metrics; on-time delivery performance, freight costs, and railcar utilization.
- Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations and security requirements, as needed.
- Ensure hazardous material shipments comply with all regulations.
- Monitor safety procedures necessary for over the road drivers as it relates to the plant.
- Maintain department compliance with local, state and federal EPA regulations.
- Ensure Bills of Lading, necessary to move material, are printed.
- Issue daily reports for product packing and shipping schedules.
- Review and verify freight bills for payment.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:
- A HS diploma or GED is required, with effective communication and data entry skills.
- 2+ years of logistics (particularly rail), transportation, shipping, or supply chain experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT and hazardous material shipping regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
