Are you a highly organized legal professional with extensive docketing experience and a passion for accuracy? Our client, a well-established national law firm with offices throughout the U.S., is adding a Senior Legal Docketing Coordinator to its team. This key position is responsible for overseeing firmwide calendaring and deadline management across multiple courts and jurisdictions using advanced legal docketing technology.
This is a direct hire, full-time, remote opportunity available to candidates who reside in Kentucky. In addition to managing complex docketing functions, this role provides leadership and day-to-day support for a small team of docketing professionals. Compensation ranges from $70,000–$85,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of client files, case matters, and related records within the docketing system.
- Calculate, enter, and maintain litigation deadlines, hearings, and other case events using rules-based calendaring software while ensuring accuracy across time zones.
- Audit docket entries against court filings and legal documents to verify completeness and compliance.
- Prepare and circulate customized calendar and deadline reports for attorneys and legal staff.
- Deliver timely docketing support for matters pending in federal, state, and administrative courts across numerous jurisdictions.
- Stay informed of changes to court rules and procedural requirements and implement updates as needed.
- Lead, coach, and provide technical guidance to two docketing team members.
- Partner with internal training staff to update workflow documentation, reference materials, and procedural resources.
- Maintain system configurations, including user permissions, jurisdictional data, holiday schedules, field values, and rules databases.
- Coordinate with software vendors regarding system maintenance, licensing, upgrades, and technical issues.
Highlighted Qualifications:
- Kentucky residency is required.
- Previous experience with CompuLaw or another enterprise legal docketing platform is essential.
- Strong background managing complex litigation calendars with exceptional attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of court filing deadlines, procedural rules, and multi-jurisdictional litigation practices.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while exercising sound judgment and working independently.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working with legal technology, automated calendaring systems, and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal professionals in multiple offices.
