Highlighted Duties:
  • Lead all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare timely financial statements and reports for executive leadership, the Board Finance Committee, grantors, and funding agencies.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to develop annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and organizational forecasts.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance while providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Oversee nonprofit fund accounting, grant accounting, grant billing, compliance reporting, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with grantors, auditors, vendors, and financial partners.
  • Serve as a trusted member of the senior leadership team, helping guide the organization's continued financial strength and future growth.

Highlighted Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with grant accounting, fund accounting, and grant compliance strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and board-level reporting.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for supporting an organization that changes lives.
