Talis Group’s client, a large and highly respected Louisville-based construction company, is experiencing significant growth and is adding an Electrical Construction Project Manager to their team. This award-winning organization is known for delivering complex, high-impact projects with precision, innovation, and operational excellence.

This role will focus on facilities and equipment electrical systems for a major two-year industrial project in the Elizabethtown area, with future opportunities to transition to other regional projects upon completion. Highlighted Duties:

As the Electrical Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale electrical construction projects—from estimating and budgeting through installation and closeout.
Perform electrical take-offs using estimating software.
Develop competitive proposals and final bids for industrial and commercial projects.
Manage project budgets to ensure financial performance and profitability.
Create detailed project schedules (Microsoft Project or other specified programs) including 5-week look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate electricians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with NEC codes and maintain rigorous safety standards.
Review submittals, maintain project logs, and manage deliverables.
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and clients.
Lead meetings, facilitate conference calls, and provide weekly/monthly progress reports.
Review and manage contracts and subcontract agreements.
Monitor margins, bill rates, utilization, and overall project profitability.
You’ll be both a strategic leader and a tactical executor—driving timelines, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Highlighted Requirements:

Strong project management experience in electrical construction.
Electrical Engineering degree or hands-on experience as a licensed electrician.
Proven experience performing all levels of electrical estimating (commercial, industrial, institutional).
Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of branch circuiting, electrical design concepts, and material costs.
Experience with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
Design-build experience highly preferred.
BIM, CAD, and LEED experience a plus.
