Talis Group’s company client, a growing and specialized national insurance organization, is seeking a Claims Billing & Administrative Specialist to support their claims team in the oversight & coordination of claims activities. This role is heavily focused on client billing and invoice management related to legal services, making it ideal for candidates with experience in legal billing or insurance billing environments.
This is a unique area of insurance, and the company is open to training and mentoring individuals who bring strong administrative or legal support experience and understand billing processes.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position, with benefits such as health, dental, vision, simple Ira with employer match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays, an on-site gym, and tuition reimbursement.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-5:00 with hybrid schedule available (where you can work from home 1-2 days a week after training.) The salary range is $45k-$55k (depending on experience.)
Highlighted Duties:
- Prepare & generate client billing for legal counsel time, ensuring accuracy & timeliness.
- Review & process legal invoices in compliance with internal billing guidelines.
- Track & compile monthly claims-related billing for submission to accounting for review.
- Maintain detailed and organized claim and billing documentation and files (electronic and hard copy)
- Support the Claims Manager with administrative coordination and reporting.
- Partner with internal teams (including underwriting, sales, and accounting) to ensure accurate billing and claim coverage support and evaluation.
- Assist with coordination and documentation related to litigation counsel approvals.
- Manage calendars, reminders, and critical deadlines using Outlook.
- Generate reports for internal leadership and external partners.
- Provide professional, responsive service throughout the claims and billing process.
Highlighted Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of strong admin support experience required.
- 2+ years of client billing experience required (legal or insurance billing strongly preferred.)
- Prior experience in a law firm, legal support, insurance, or professional services environment highly preferred.
- Experience reviewing invoices and ensuring billing accuracy & compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail & high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, team-oriented approach with customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
