About the Job
Talis Group’s company client, a growing and specialized national insurance organization, is seeking a Claims Administrative Specialist to support a Claims Manager in the oversight & coordination of claims activities.  This role plays a key part in ensuring claims are processed efficiently and in alignment with internal guidelines and service standards. 
This is a unique area of insurance, and the company is open to training and mentoring individuals who bring strong administrative or legal support experience. 
This is a full-time, direct-hire position, with benefits such as health, dental, vision, simple Ira with employer match, paid time off, 10 paid holidays, an on-site gym, and tuition reimbursement.  
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-5:00 with a hybrid schedule available.  The salary range is $45k-$55k (depending on experience.)
 
Highlighted Duties:
  • Support the Claims Manager with review and processing of legal invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines.
  • Partner with internal teams (including underwriting and sales) to support accurate claims and coverage evaluation.
  • Assist with vetting and coordination of litigation counsel approvals.
  • Maintain and update claim documentation and files (electronic and hard copy) 
  • Manage calendars, reminders, and critical deadlines using Outlook.
  • Track and prepare monthly claims-related billing for accounting review.
  • Generate reports for internal leadership and external partners.
  • Provide professional, responsive service throughout the claims process.
 
Highlighted Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of strong admin support experience required.
  • Prior experience in an administrative assistant or paralegal role (law firm experience strongly preferred.)
  • Exposure to client billing or invoice review required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
