Talis Group’s client, a boutique law firm specializing in business litigation and employment law, is nestled in the vibrant East End. Known for their strong family culture and commitment to excellence, they are expanding their team to better serve their Kentucky clients. We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a talented Business Litigation Attorney (or if you have Insurance Defense experience and would like to transition to Business Litigation) to grow with them and be mentored by highly respected seasoned attorney. This position offers professional growth into partnership track and the opportunity to handle diverse and challenging cases. Salary: $85-$120 (based on experience) plus generous percent of generated business.

Highlighted Duties:
  • Case Management: Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract, construction disputes, non-compete issues, and general business litigation.
  • Legal Writing: Research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents for both Federal and State courts.
  • Client Consultation: Advise clients on their claims, legal rights, and obligations, ensuring they understand their case and options.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategies and arguments to effectively present cases in court.
  • Evidence Gathering: Collect and analyze evidence by interviewing clients and witnesses to build strong cases.
  • Negotiations: Lead settlement discussions and mediation to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
  • Court Representation: Regularly handle court appearances and depositions, representing our clients with confidence and expertise.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and reports on case progress.

Highlighted Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with License in Kentucky.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Strong communication, research, negotiation, and reasoning skills are essential.
  • Experience with administrative hearings, court hearings, and arbitration is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills are a must.
