Talis Group’s client, a leading food and consumer products manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on, people-focused BILINGUAL HR Sr. Generalist or HR Manager of small plant to move into an HR Manager in Training for a large manufacturing facility near Scottsburg, IN. This is a high-visibility leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys being on the production floor, building trust with employees, and helping move a culture forward. Position reports to the VP of Human Resources. This opportunity will provide relocation for the right candidate. Salary range: $100 - $130k (BOE) plus amazing bonuses, very low health premiums, 401(k) match, profit sharing and, etc.

You will have the opportunity to shape culture, modernize processes, and elevate leadership at a large, stable, and growing manufacturer.

Highlighted Duties:

After training, serve as the HR Manager for a large unionized manufacturing site.
Partner with plant leadership to drive people strategy aligned to business goals.
Be a visible presence on the floor, addressing issues early and promoting positive employee relations.
Work with VP of HR to handle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles in a competitive labor market.
Manage union relationships and grievances.
Handle workplace investigations, discipline, and policy enforcement with consistency and fairness.
Use HR data and metrics to support decision-making and workforce planning.
Eventually this role will lead and develop a small on-site HR team supporting employee relations, recruiting, training, and safety.

Highlighted Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); SHRM certification preferred.
MUST be fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Strong HR Generalist with 5+ years in HR at the plant level.
Seeking familiarity in union environment.
Proven ability to coach and train Supervisors.
Comfortable being on the production floor every day.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Deep knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
Able to support a multi-shift operation as needed.
